Our Mission and Focus

At Farm Loop Christian Church, our mission is to glorify God through Worship and Discipleship, guided by Biblical truth and the Holy Spirit.

At Farm Loop Christian Church, we focus on Worship, Discipleship, & Community.

In Worship:

  1. We are intentional about fostering reverence.
  2. We are intentional about fostering consistency, recognizing that life is lived in worship.
  3. We are intentional about fostering obedience, which is our spiritual worship.

In Discipleship:

  1. We are intentional about teaching fundamental Christian truths
  2. We are intentional about ensuring relevance of our teaching to our daily lives
  3. We are intentional about equipping each member to live, to use gifts to serve, and give as God has called them

In Community:

  1. We promote living together as Christ’s body, promoting shared spiritual life, love, unity, and mutual edification
  2. We believe regular gathering with one another for the purposes stated above
  3. We will look to support and meet the needs of one another within the body first

Scripture:

We believe that the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are inerrant, infallible and inspired by God and that the Holy Bible in its entirety is the final rule and authority for the doctrine and practice of this congregation.
(II Timothy 3:16-17, II Peter 1:20-21)

Godhead:

We believe there is one God, eternally existent as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
(Genesis 1:1, 26; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19, II Corinthians 13:14)

Jesus Christ:

We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ; fully God, fully Man in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His substitutionary and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of God the Father, and in His personal future return to this earth in glory and power.
(I Timothy 3:16, I John 4:2, 9-10; I Corinthians 15:3-4)

Holy Spirit:

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by Whose indwelling presence and deposit, the believer is set apart to live a godly life and produce the Fruit of the Spirit. We also believe in works of the Holy Spirit subsequent to salvation. The Holy Spirit enables and equips believers to be witnesses of Jesus Christ and to minister in the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit.
(Ephesians 1:13-14, Galatians 5:22-23, Luke 11:13, Acts 1:8, I Corinthians 12)

Man:

We believe all mankind has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, and that new birth by the Holy Spirit and the blood of Christ is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
(Acts 4:12, Romans 3:23, 10:9-10, John 3:3, I John 1:7-9)

Salvation:

We believe man is justified by faith in Jesus Christ, apart from works and that Christians are the workmanship of Jesus Christ, created to do good works and glorify Him.
(Ephesians 2:8-10)

Healing:

We believe the redemptive work of Christ provides healing for the whole person; spirit, soul and body.
(Isaiah 53:4-5; I Thessalonians 5:23, I Peter 2:24)

Judgment and Reward:

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the saved to everlasting life, and the lost to everlasting condemnation with the devil and his angels
( I Corinthians 15:20-26; Revelation 20, 21)

Ordinances:

We believe in receiving the ordinances of communion and in baptizing believers by complete immersion in water.
(Matthew 28:19)

Marriage:

We believe the only legitimate marriage is the joining of one man and one woman.
(Genesis 2:24; Romans 7:2; I Corinthians 7:10; Ephesians 5:21-33)

Human Sexuality:

We believe that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of marriage. We believe any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, transgenderism, incest, fornication, adultery and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex. We believe God disapproves of and forbids any attempt to alter one’s gender by surgery, hormone treatment or appearance.
(Genesis 2:24; Genesis 19:5,13; Genesis 26:8-9; Leviticus 18:1-30; Romans 1:26-39; 1 Corinthians 5:1; 6:9; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8; Hebrews 13:4)

We make every reasonable effort to protect vulnerable attenders, including children ensuring that parents and children feel safe while worshipping here. This is in balance with the biblical principles of restoration and service for those walking with Christ.

Here are some of the essential practices we implement to protect our vulnerable populations:

  • Comprehensive Screening/Background Checks: Farm Loop utilizes an advanced compliance program that continuously updates and scans criminal records at every level of government.
    • Elders, pastors, staff members, and other adult volunteers working in children's ministry are all screened.
  • Staff Education and Training: Working with Church Mutual; comprehensive training resources are distributed and reviewed by staff. Volunteers receive an educational training orientation that includes safety.
  • Nursery practices are guided by church mutual recommended structure.
  • Environmental Protection:
    • Kidcheck system is used to check children into ministry
    • The children's wing is separated from adult ministry areas during Sunday & Wednesday services
    • We require two adults in each children's classes
    • On Sunday Services, our Security teams monitor the environment providing awareness for a safe and orderly service. In some cases, if there are attenders with restrictions Elders are aware of, security will also be made aware.
  • Many staff and volunteers with involvement in ministries and professions such as Trail Life, American Heritage girls, Child Evangelism Fellowship, teachers in public and private school also have many ongoing and cumulative hours with advanced, comprehensive training.

Above all, we pray. Pray that God protects those he has put in this ministry.
